Bodo Th. Bölzle appointed as honorary president
On 11 July 2023, the general meeting of the business and employers' association Südwesttextil e.V. took place on the campus of Reutlingen University.
After five terms as president of the association, the previous AMANN CEO Bodo Th. Bölzle resigned from his position as president during the general meeting, due to his move from chairman of the management board to the advisory board of the AMANN Group. Due to his services to the textile and clothing industry in Baden-Württemberg, he was honoured accordingly and appointed Honorary President.
AMANN CSO Arved H. Westerkamp was unanimously elected as the new Südwesttextil President by the Südwesttextil General Meeting. Mr. Westerkamp thanked the members for their trust and announced his intention to "further develop the association into a lively network for the future." Looking to the future, Mr Westerkamp noted, "For us as an association, it is clear that sustainable development is and remains the biggest driver - in all areas. We clearly position ourselves for sustainability in the diverse debates, but also precisely for our members and for textiles."
We warmly congratulate Mr. Westerkamp on his election as the new Südwesttextil President and Mr. Bölzle on his appointment as Honorary President.
